Dear ILS Families,
Our After School Winter Showcases are this weekend. Students and their Creative Arts Teachers have been rehearsing and are excited to present what they’ve been working on.
When to arrive: Please have your student here 15 minutes before the start of the show.
What to wear: Students should wear festive holiday clothing.
Video and pictures are permitted, we just ask you to limit use of flash. We would also love if you would share images you capture and tag us on Facebook!
Parking: Please allow extra time for parking. The lot is often full with Portage Bay patrons, but there is street parking in the neighborhood as well as public pay-to-park lots across the street and at the Nordic Heritage Museum.
Storybook Camp – Dec. 26-28 at Greenwood Studio only
We’re expecting a light camp for the first week of Winter Break due to Christmas. Space is available at our Greenwood studio only. The campers will take a behind the scenes tour of Nutty Squirrel to see how Tolga makes his award winning Gelato!

Film Camp – Jan. 2-4 at Greenwood & Locks Studios
We still have space available for Film Camp, the second week of Winter break. Seattle Children’s Theatre will be here to present a fun workshop for the campers and we will have a mini-film festival at the end of the week.

ILS Holiday Giving Boxes
ILS is collecting donations for FamilyWorks this holiday season. There are collection boxes at each of the studios and we will also be collecting at the winter showcase. Please bring new socks, mittens, scarves and hats. FamilyWorks’ mission is to connect neighbors and families to nourishing food, essential resources, and a supportive community, so people can build resiliency to meet life’s challenges.
ILS Closure Reminders
As a reminder, ILS will be closed with no camps on Christmas Eve and Day (Dec. 24-25) and New Year’s Eve and Day (Dec. 31 – Jan. 1).
